We have some updated news to share in regards to the Avengers: Endgame screening special event!
You can join Jim Starlin at the North Park Theatre in Buffalo, NY at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4 following the Sleeping Giant Jim Starlin signing event! We hope that you’ll attend all of our Free Comic Book Day festivities! We’ve got some great things lined up including an epic food truck, fun events for kids, and even some FCBD exclusive goodies!

The Jim Starlin Collection

As some of you know, this is not our first wonderful project to be launched with Jim Starlin. Last year, Ominous Press partnered with Jim for The Jim Starlin Collection, a successfully funded campaign that brought the world two new projects. Let’s take a look.
Mindgames: A Hardcore Station Story is a luciously illustrated novella set on the famed Hardcore Station. The story follows Dr. Zareb Alter, a telepath and former member of a notorious interstellar crime organization as he makes his way back to Hardcore Station to solve a murder mystery. Described by Jim Starlin himself as “Starlin brand sci-fi and weirdness,” Mindgames is over 100 pages of master storytelling.
Black Book: The Art of Jim Starlin is a gorgeous collection of art hand picked by Jim himself. Black Book gathers a tremendous array of art spanning Jim’s entire career, including his most beloved characters, previously unpublished images, private commissions, untold story pages, and so much more. Black Book: The Art of Jim Starlin is truly unlike any other collection of Jim’s art out there.
Both Mindgames: A Hardcore Station Story and Black Book: The Art of Jim Starlin can be picked up on the Dreadstar Omnibus Collection campaign. Each book is paired with Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1 at their own respective tiers, as well as a tier with all three gorgeous books together for $150. They are also, of course, available in our $725 pledge featuring the entire Dreadstar universe.

The best part of any campaign is the fandom. All of our backers have been gracious enough to send us far over our funding goal, and very forthcoming with what they’d like to see from Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar campaign. We have been listening!
We are pleased to announce that the $75K stretch goal is this gorgeous sticker. Plucked from the cover of Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1, this amazing piece of art was created by Jim just a few months ago, following a long recovery from an accident that left his drawing hand worse for wear.

Good evening, cosmic comrades! Let’s take a closer look at our first of the $225 limited reward tiers, this one featuring Cosmic Odyssey.
This tier offers a little something for everyone. It comes, of course, with digital and hardcover versions of Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1 in all its remastered glory, but also offers an extra treat for the DC Comics fans among you.
Cosmic Odyssey is an epic four part miniseries written by Jim Starlin and beautifully illustrated by Mike Mignola. Wars are waged as Darkseid searches the galaxy to find the one thing he believes to be more powerful than he, and destroy it. Standing in his way are some of DC’s most legendary characters, heroes like Superman, Batman, Starfire, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern.

Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1 Bonus Features

Good morning, backers! As you may have gleaned from our video, each Dreadstar omnibus volume contains its own set of bonus features. Today, let’s take a quick look at the bonus content in Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1.
Prayer is self contained a four-page story written and illustrated by Jim Starlin. It is an excellent continuation of the themes contained in Jim’s early Dreadstar stories, particularly the ones collected in this first volume. We think it adds a special touch to this first collection, and we think you're gonna love it.
Also included in Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1 is Jim Starlin’s complete Metamorphosis Odyssey Portfolio. Produced after Dreadstar’s run in Epic Illustrated, these classic painted images are truly gorgeous double-page spreads that are a must have for any fan of Dreadstar.
