Dreadstar in Epic Illustrated
almost 5 years ago – Sun, May 05, 2019 at 05:40:20 AM

Before the events of the classic Dreadstar series from Marvel’s Epic imprint, a Dreadstar tale was told in fondly-remembered magazine Epic Illustrated #15.

This 24-page story serves as the bridge between Metamorphosis Odyssey and the continuing Dreadstar series. A heaping helping of Vanth’s power is served up as has saves the life of his friend and companion Oedi, and dashes off into the galaxy to see his fledgling Plan M come to life.

We’ll drop the first five pages in here for you, but the full story can be found in Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1, which is of course still available at several reward tiers in the campaign.

Enjoy!

Following the events of The Price, Marvel’s Dreadstar Graphic Novel continues Metamorphosis Odyssey in glorious full color.

The Dreadstar Graphic Novel shows us a Vanth Dreadstar who is now a peaceful farmer, having set down roots with his wife. As the story progresses, Vanth discovers the true might that was given to him by the Sword of Power, and learns to live with the consequences of immortality.

The Dreadstar Graphic Novel is of course included in Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1, but you can read the first five pages below.

The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is followed by a special screening of Avengers: Endgame, presented by Jim Starlin, at the Northpark Theatre at 8 p.m. We hope to see you there!
